How was the participation in the vote?
Pune The city witnessed a slow start on Thursday as voter turnout was 5.5 percent in the first two hours. Till 3.30 pm, a turnout of 36.95 per cent was recorded at the PMC. In 41 districts, 1,165 candidates are contesting elections for 165 PMC seats.
Fake voting reported
Several groups in Pune and Ahilyanagar leveled allegations of fake votes. Pune, Ahilyanagar and Pimpri Chinchward (Golande School) wards 3 and 40 reported such incidents. Minor chaos was reported at the Golande school polling station over accusations of false voting.
Key contests
