IndiGo flight 6E-2608 operating from Delhi to Pune received information about a bomb threat upon arrival at Pune airport on January 22, according to information shared by airport director Santosh Dhoke. The plane was cleared after being checked by bomb detection squads.

The aircraft, scheduled to arrive at 8:40 p.m., landed at 9:24 p.m. and was parked in bay number 3 at 9:27 a.m. Subsequently, Air Traffic Control (ATC) communicated the bomb threat information to Apron Control.

The aircraft was then moved to the isolation bay and Platform Control immediately alerted all agencies involved. The Bomb Threat Assessment Committee (BTAC) was convened and, following its assessment, the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squadron (BDDS) thoroughly reviewed the aircraft.

During the security checks, no suspicious or adverse findings were detected. Once the procedures were completed, the aircraft was cleared and released for normal operations.

In a statement on the incident, the airline said: “Shortly after landing, a security threat was noted on board IndiGo flight 6E 2608 operating from Delhi to Pune on January 22, 2026. Following established protocol, we informed the relevant authorities immediately and are fully cooperating with them to follow standard operating procedures. All our clients and crew disembarked safely. “We remain committed to the safety of our customers, crew and aircraft.”

On January 18, an IndiGo flight from Delhi to Bagdogra (6E 6650) was diverted to Lucknowafter a security threat was detected on board. According to ANI reports, a handwritten message on tissue paper was found inside the plane’s bathroom, stating that there was a bomb on the plane. The Bagdogra-bound flight, carrying 238 passengers along with the pilot and crew, made an emergency landing in Lucknow. CISF teams and bomb squad carried out checks; No explosive material was reportedly found in this incident either.
