Border 2 Box Office Collection Day 6: The film is ‘a thrill’, and the fact that Sunny Deol is a part of it makes it even more powerful.
Border 2 Box Office Collection Day 6 Update: Border 2, directed by Anurag Singh, began its theatrical run amidst much buzz during the extended Republic Day weekend. The film has been performing well till now and has grossed over Rs 200 crore nett. However, after achieving huge numbers during his extended opening weekend, The Varun Dhawan-Sunny Deol starrer seems to be slowing down during the weekdays. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Border 2 earned Rs 13 crore on its sixth day, taking its total domestic net collection to Rs 213 crore. Border 2’s global box office gross is approaching Rs 300 crore, according to early estimates.
The film begins with all engines on, surpassing the figures of the first day of Dhurandhar by Aditya Dhar. While Ranveer Singh-led Dhurandhar earned Rs 28 crore on its first day, it later amassed over Rs 1,300 crore worldwide. When Border 2 was released, the playing field was comparatively clear as the Dhurandhar wave had died down. Also, the other war film, Sriram Raghavan’s Ikkis, was already losing screenings due to poor numbers.

If Border 2 wants to demonstrate that doing so was more than just a nostalgic move, You will need to regain your momentum. If by the end of the second weekend, Border 2 isn’t putting up promising numbers, it will start bleeding shows. It currently has more than 6,200 shows throughout the country, with more than 1,500 shows in the Delhi-NCR Region.
