Singer-songwriter Palash Muchhal and cricketer Smriti Mandhana’s wedding, which was supposed to take place in November 2025, was canceled just a day before the ceremony. Palash was later accused of allegedly cheating on Smriti. However, in their official statement, the families cited Smriti’s father’s ill health as a reason for postponing the wedding. Now, actor Nandish Sandhu, who was present at the spot, spoke about what happened there.
Talking to Miss Malini, Nandish refused to comment on the infidelity allegations against Palash and said, “It’s better not to say anything about it now. And let Palash speak from his side,” he said. He also claimed that no one had contacted Palash to hear his side of the story.
Recalling what happened in Sangli, he said: “I had gone to the wedding. That didn’t happen. And I found out that it is not happening right now.” He also shared that it was a medical emergency involving Smriti Mandhana’s father, which was communicated as the reason for postponing the wedding. “It was postponed because what was in the news, the same was there. Broadcast to you. Broadcast to everyone. Smriti’s father was not well. He was in the hospital. And that’s why everything was postponed,” he explained.
Nandish said he feels bad about the situation and stated that he learned about the allegations against Palash through media reports. “Later I found out from the news and the media that this is what has been printed and this is happening. And I feel bad about that,” he said.
Nandish also spoke about the couple’s relationship and said, “Whatever the reason, the wedding didn’t happen. And you know, I’ve seen love. I’ve seen how madly in love they were for the last five or six years. They were such a nice, nice couple.”
Earlier, Vidnyan Mane, who claimed to be Smriti Mandhana’s childhood friend, made allegations against Palash. He told Hindustan Times: “He was at the wedding celebrations (November 23, 2025) when he was caught red-handed with another woman in bed. Bhayanak scene, He was beaten by the Indian cricketers. the whole family is chindi choir I thought he would get married and settle down in Sangli, but it completely backfired on me.”
