Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra are raising their daughter Malti with Hindu values; singer describes Hinduism as amazing: “It is deep and beautiful” | Bollywood News

Singer Nick Jonas is currently doing a press conference to promote his album Sunday Best and has been giving many interviews about his family and career. His wife, actress Priyanka Chopra, is almost always at the center of these conversationsand during a recent interview, Nick shared what it’s like being a father to his daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas.

The “Burnin’ Up” singer appeared on the Zach Sang Show, where he discussed the inspirations behind his latest project. Nick said becoming a father has “completely changed the world’s view on everything.” He continued: “The first time a little mind experiences something, it’s wild. It can be something very emotional or something like ‘Why is the glass transparent?’ You just sit there trying to think of ways to explain the things you just accepted. There are laws and rules and we have accepted them.”

Talking about his responsibility as a father and as an artist, Nick Jonas said: “Finding something touchy-feely with empathy and gentleness has been the most fascinating part of being a father. Now I’m writing about things I want to explain to her. She’ll be listening, and I can’t stop thinking about it. She loves our song ‘Love Me to Heaven’ and we always play it at the beginning of the set. There are these fantastic videos of her on stage with Priyanka hugging her. Getting dressed, because she just wants to run and join us.”

Nick was then asked about his experience with Indian culture, especially since marrying Priyanka in 2018. He shared that he always wanted a big family and was glad that Priyanka shared that same belief. Recalling his first trip to India, Nick said: “It was magical when I went to India for the first time and I was able to spend time with his friends and family. and experience culture in a more meaningful way. Some of my favorite traditions and holidays are now Indian traditions and holidays. Some of my favorite memories in life are in India or adjacent India.”

He went on to praise Indian culture and revealed that Malti is being raised with Hindu values ​​as the religion has also transformed his spirituality. He said: “It’s been pretty incredible. I’ve learned a lot about Hinduism, which is amazing. It’s deep and beautiful, and the practice of karma and doing unto others as you would have them do to you… And the good things that come back to you are beautiful. We’re raising our daughter to have real Hindu values ​​and understand that. My faith has evolved and changed, and it’s very strong and an important part of who I am.”

Interestingly, Nick Jonas’ father was an ordained minister in an Assemblies of God church. Nick has often spoken of his father preaching with him and his brothers sitting in the front row of church.
