Meera Chopra says she didn’t tell her ‘supportive’ cousin Priyanka Chopra about Gandhi talks, declaring reserved: ‘Nazar lag jaati hai’ | Bollywood News

Actress and model Meera Chopra has turned producer for KP Belekar’s directorial Gandhi Talks. During a recent promotional interview, Meera reflected on her acting career and revealed why she decided to try producing. He also talked about his cousin Priyanka Chopra and He praised her for always supporting the family.

In a chat with Galatta India, Meera spoke about her journey in the industry so far. He noted that Bollywood has been a place of “constant struggle” and is still trying to make a name for itself.

Talking about Priyanka Chopra, Meera Chopra said, “Look, I have always said that Priyanka is someone who strongly supports her entire family. She has supported her, no matter how big she has become. I honestly feel that Priyanka has surpassed herself. She is not just an individual, she is a movement.”

The actor added that Priyanka has always supported all the family members in both their personal and professional endeavors. She said: “One of her best habits is being together with her family. She feels very proud when any of us have done something and she is very happy that I did this. She has always supported us all and it is a very good feeling to know that someone like her is proud of you.”

When asked if there was any discussion with Priyanka Chopra about the Gandhi Talks before they were announced, Meera Chopra replied: “No, she didn’t know I was doing this. No one knew I was doing this, not even my friends or my family. I am a very private person and very superstitious. I think nazar lay jaati hai (bad omen), and I think there are a lot of people in this industry who don’t want you to do well. I think that. Whatever I do, no one knows except my husband and my investors. “People found out about my work on the announcement date and they found out about theirs when it was announced.”

Directed by KP Belekar, Gandhi Talks is a silent film starring Vijay Sethupati, Aditi Rao Hydari, Arvind Swamy, Mahesh Manjrekar and Nilesh Divekar. It premieres on January 30.
