The Kardashian and Jenner family never leaves the spotlight due to their individual careers and their showbiz. Keeping up with the Kardashians. The women in the family have long been associated with the ‘Kardashian Curse’, which basically means that any athlete who dates them will go through a rough patch in their career. Kendall Jenner has also been a part of this curse, but now she has decided to flip the script and use this narrative to her advantage.
The supermodel teamed up with Fanatics Sportsbook for its Super Bowl 60 campaign and released an ad film. The ad film begins with Kendall saying, “Haven’t you heard? The Internet says I’m cursed. Any basketball player who dates me goes through a rough patch. While the world is talking about it, I’ve been betting on it. How else do you think I can afford all this? Modeling?”
In the ad, the entire house is filled with photos of Kendall with her ex-partners and their faces have been erased. She goes on to say that she got her pool, her expensive car, and her private jet thanks to her “boyfriend 1, 2, and 3,” respectively. She even joked about her first boyfriend missing the NBA playoffs, saying, “I guess no one was getting a ring in this house,” making a play on the championship ring and an engagement ring. He ended the ad film by saying, “Damn Kardashian? That’s not even my last name.”
Kendall Jenner opened up about her ad campaign on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, where she revealed she’ll be making a bet on the Super Bowl. She said: “Basically, the Internet has created this narrative, which is the idea that if an athlete dates me or one of my sisters, then they’re cursed. Which is… please. But I got a commercial out of it. If I win, the proceeds go to a charity of my choice, and if the Fanatics win, the money goes to a charity of their choice.”
While no one is named in the promotional film, Kendall has dated 4 basketball players in the past, including Jordan Clarkson, Blake Griffin, Ben Simmons, and Devin Booker.
