Actor Hrithik Roshan was seen arriving at filmmaker Goldie Behl’s birthday party in Mumbai on Saturday with the crutch support, leaving his fans worried. To ease their concerns, the actor responded on Instagram, explaining that his unpredictable body has its own “on and off” switches.
“I’ve been irritated all day nursing a left knee that yesterday mysteriously decided to take a two-day break from the rest of me. Welcome to my normal. We all live in bodies whose workings we will never fully understand. Mine, however, is a fascinating variation. Each body part comes with its own ON/OFF button. My left leg uses this feature as a birthright. This is what the left shoulder and right ankle do. It just goes off. It’s a state of mind. This simple product feature has showered me with experiences that are not available to most humans. I find myself walking around with a smug air and a head full of neurons specialized in sudden despair. A proud owner of a unique synapse system that has reached virtuous levels in creating downward spirals of dark tunnels with high-speed sinking capabilities that lead to many types of abysses. “All this gives me mental pathways unique to the rest of the species,” he wrote.
“The most presentable thing is my sense of humor. For example, some days my tongue refuses to say the word ‘DINNER.’ Now imagine I’m on the set of a serious courtroom filming where my dialogue is ‘Would you like to come home for dinner?’ but my tongue has gone out, so I end up inviting him in an ingenious, decisive and repeated way to “LUNCH”. Since, fortunately, lunch is still on. All this to the bewilderment of my director, the poor boy, who finally stops trying to make sense of this random situation and continues perhaps to attribute it all to some strange providence. (Thanks to the Lord)”, he added.
