After much speculation, Govinda opened up about the incident when a group of miscreants tried break into his house. The actor remembers that a mob of more than 20 people surrounded his residence and the measures he took to scare them away. He revealed that they did not expect him to appear with a gun. But the actor said that he took out his gun only after contacting the police, but to no avail.
“There were between 22 and 23 people. I luckily saw them enter. At first I thought they were here for a party, but they didn’t look like party people. So I captured their video,” he said. Govinda. “When Bombay “The police did not answer my call, I called the police in another country and asked them to be on the phone,” he added.
It was when one of them went up to the terrace that Govinda thought the situation was not normal. “They started surrounding me. Meanwhile, I called and informed everyone. I have a licensed weapon, so I took it out,” the actor told ANI. He then confronted them and asked, “Who are you?”
No one said anything for a while until one of them made a sign. “We’re here to fix the electrical system.” But when Govinda asked them if it had been a while and why they didn’t leave, they all fell silent. “So I pointed the gun and asked them to leave. They weren’t expecting it,” he recalled. However, the actor added that he did not even try to find out who those people were.
“That is a waste of time. People divert their energy thinking about all that,” Govinda argued, adding, “A good actor cannot work like that. He can act or react. An actor’s job is to act. If an actor starts reacting to everything that everyone in the society says, that does not feel good. Yes, if you remain silent for too long, that silence can be misinterpreted with suspicion. Even that is not good.”
Last week, Govinda’s manager Shashi Sinha revealed that the actor continues to receive death threats. “Thank God, he had a gun the day he was attacked. He chased everyone away. Otherwise, God knows what would have happened to him. I ran to him at 4 am. We also lodged an FIR. We also have a video of what happened that night,” he recalled.
