The 68th Annual Grammy Awards have finally come to a close and the internet definitely has a lot to talk about. Between snubs, surprises and record announcements, Many jokes and jokes were spread throughout the night. Host Trevor Noah, serving his final term as host of this musical jamboree, took a couple of jabs at President Donald Trump and his administration. He focused on the much-discussed Epstein files and how they have been at the center of Trump’s run for the highest office, and also criticized CBS news. that has silenced some of Trump’s critics.
The president, who rarely keeps his thoughts to himself, took to his Truth Social account and specifically attacked the event and its host. He said: “The Grammy Awards are the worst, practically unwatchable! CBS is lucky this garbage doesn’t foul their airwaves anymore. The host, Trevor Noah, whoever he is, is almost as bad as Jimmy Kimmel at the Low Ratings Academy Awards. Noah said, incorrectly about me, that donald trump and Bill Clinton spent time on Epstein Island. Bad, I can’t speak for Bill, but I have never been to Epstein Island, or anywhere near it, and until tonight’s false and defamatory statement, I have never been accused of being there, not even by the fake news media.
Trump added: “Noah, a total loser, better get his facts straight and get them straight quickly. Looks like I’m going to send my lawyers to sue this poor, pathetic, talentless, dumb MC, and sue him for lots of dollars. Ask little George Slopadopolus and others how it all worked out. Ask CBS too! Get ready Noah, I’ll have fun with you! President DJT.”
The joke Trump is referring to is when Noah mentioned Greenland, Epstein, and Bill Clinton all at the same time. After Billie Eilish received the Song of the Year award, Trevor said, “There you go, song of the year! Congratulations, Billie Eilish. Wow. It’s a Grammy every artist wants, almost as much as Trump wants Greenland. Which makes sense because since Epstein left, he needs a new island to hang out with Bill Clinton. I told you, it’s my last year! What are you going to do about it?”
