राशीन येथील डॉक्टर ने उचलले टोकाचे पाऊल: पत्नी,दोन मुलांसह केली स्वतःही आत्महत्या

भिगवण प्रतिनिधी

राशीन (ता.कर्जत) येथील प्रसिध्द डॉक्टर महेंद्र थोरात (वय ४६) यांनी राहत्या घरी पत्नी व दोन लहान मुलांना गळफास देत स्वत:ही गळफास घेत आपली जीवनयात्रा संपवली.

शनिवारी पहाटे ही घटना घडली. गळफास घेतलेल्या खोलीच्या दरवाजाला त्यांनी चिठ्ठी चिटकवली होती. राशीनसह परिसरात ही घटना समजताच त्यांच्या हॉस्पीटलसमोर ग्रामस्थांनी गर्दी केली होती. प्रथमदर्शनी ही आत्महत्या वाटत असली तरी आत्महत्या कि घातपात? हे पोलीस तपासात समोर येईल.

दरम्यान, आत्महत्येपूर्वी लिहिलेल्या चिठ्ठीत डॉक्टरने म्हटले आहे की, माझा थोरला मुलगा (वय १८) कृष्णा याला कानाने ऐकण्यास कमी येत असल्याने आम्हाला समाजात अपराध्यासासारखे वाटत आहे. अनेक दिवसांपासून आम्ही व्यथित आहोत. कृष्णाचेही कशात मन लागत नाही. हे आम्ही वडील व आई म्हणून दुख: सहन करू शकत नाही. म्हणून मी व माझी पत्नी वर्षा (वय ३९) आत्महत्येसारखे कृत्य करत आहोत. हे योग्य नसले तरी नाईलाजावास्तव हे कृत्य करीत आहे. यात कोणालाही जबाबदार धरू नये असा या चिठ्ठीत उल्लेख केला आहे. तर कैवल्य आठ वर्षांचा आहे.

झालेल्या घटनेमुळे सर्व स्तरातुन हळहळ व्यक्त होत आहे बहुतांश ठिकाणी परिसरातले व्यवहार बंद ठेवण्यात आले आहे.

पोलिसांनी मात्र या प्रकरणाची कसून चौकशी सुरू केली आहे.
