Pimpri Chinchwad police have issued a notification regarding traffic changes for Tuesday (January 20) in Hinjewadi, Wakad, Dehu Road and Nigdi areas for Stage I of the Pune Grand Tour. This phase will begin at TCS Circle in Hinjewadi and conclude at Dr DY Patil International Institute in Akurdi, covering a stretch of 91.8 km on the Mulshi-Maval-PCMC stretch.
Vivek Patil, deputy commissioner of police (traffic), Pimpri Chinchwad, issued a notification regarding these traffic changes. These changes will be in effect in Hinjewadi, Wakad, Dehu Road and NIgdi jurisdictions from 9am to 5pm, while the actual race will take place between 1.30pm and 3.45pm. These traffic changes will not apply to police vehicles or authorized vehicles involved in the organization and administration of the event, according to the notification. Road closures and corresponding alternative routes in each of the traffic divisions are detailed below.
Hinjewadi Division
Traffic moving from Bhoirwadi village towards Helipad Circle will be stopped and rerouted via Capital and Circle Road via internal roads. Vehicles going from Symphony Society towards Bapuji Bua temple and Hinjewadi Phase 3 will be stopped and diverted via Maan village towards Bapuji Bua Khind and Chande Phata road. Vehicles going from Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Chowk towards Shinde Vasti will be stopped and diverted by dad Chowk crossing towards Shinde Vasti and Laxmi Chowk route.
Vehicles going from Laxmi Chowk to Kasarsai and Marunji villages will be rerouted via Tata T-Junction Chowk and Phase-3 route. Traffic from Mezza-9 Chowk towards Laxmi Chowk will be prohibited and diverted via Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk route. Traffic from Kasturi Chowk towards Vinode Vasti Chowk will be diverted via Bhumkar Chowk towards Vinode Vasti Corner and can use Indian Oil Chowk route or Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk route. All vehicles going from Shani Mandir towards Bhumkar underpass will be stopped and diverted by Indira College and then will have to make a U-turn towards Tathawade underpass.
Dehu Highway Division
Krishna Traders traffic heading towards PDCC bank will be stopped and vehicles will be diverted on internal roads of Dehu Road village.
Movement of heavy vehicles will be restricted from Parandwadi Phata towards Bebadohal and traffic will be diverted via Urse Road after turning right from Parandwadi.
Nigdi Division
Traffic from Chaphekar Chowk to Old Jakat Naka via Chinchwad Road towards Walhekarwadi will remain closed and motorists will be diverted via Old Jakat Naka – Jain School – Seven Orange Hospital route. Traffic coming from Chinchwad Nagar heading towards Walhekarwadi via Kolhapuri Tea Point Hotel Road will be stopped and diverted via Chinchwad Nagar towards Bijlinagar Road.

Vehicles heading from Bhakti Shakti Chowk side to Walhekarwadi via Triveni Hospital Chowk Road will not be allowed and will be diverted via Chintamani Chowk and Bijlinagar Chowk. Traffic coming from Aher Garden towards Walhekarwadi Rover Road will be restricted and diverted via Chintamani Ganesh Mandir – Walhekarwadi Chowk Road.
Vehicle movement from Gurudwara Chowk to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk to Walhekarwadi will be stopped and alternative access routes will be provided via Jamaat Masjid to Walhekarwadi and Gurudwara Road.
Wakad Division
Traffic between Bhaumkar Chowk and Dange Chowk will be diverted via Decathlon Tathawade to Tathawade underpass route. The road from Jaguar Showroom to Bhumkar Chowk will be closed and commuters will have to take the Phoenix Mall road.
Traffic from Phoenix Mall towards Kala Khadak Signal will be diverted via Skyline Road and Chaudhari Park Road. All vehicles coming from Kala Khadak to T Junction will be diverted via Decathlon and Bombay–Bengaluru Road. The road from Sate Chowk to Jadhav Corner will be closed for traffic and vehicles will be diverted via Datt Mandir or Chaudhari Park road.
