Udit Narayan’s first wife alleges that her uterus was removed as treatment and demands maintenance: “A wife needs respect” | Bollywood News

Controversies do not seem to stop haunting Udit Narayan. Months after receiving criticism online for kissing female audience members At his concert, the singer is once again in the news for alleged mistreatment of his first wife, Ranjana. The Bihar resident has claimed that Udit not only withdrew her maintenance but also got her family to remove her uterus on the pretext of receiving medical treatment.

According to her police complaint, Ranjana claimed that she married Udit on December 7, 1984. After the singer moved to Bombay To continue his music career the following year, he never returned. Udit made a breakthrough in Bollywood with the songs from Mansoor Khan’s 1988 cult romance Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, starring Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla.

Later, Ranjana came to know that Udit had married another woman, Deepa, in Mumbai.with whom he later had a sonsinger Aditya Narayan. But she claims Udit continued to cheat on her every time she confronted him. According to Deccan Herald, her miseries continued in 1996 when, allegedly, under the guise of treatment, Udit and her brothers Sanjay Kumar Jha and Lalit Narayan Jha had their uterus removed.

This happened when Udit and his brothers took Ranjana to a private hospital in Delhi for treatment, where she claimed her uterus was removed without her consent or knowledge. Ranjana said that Deepa Narayan was also present at the hospital at that time. Only much later, during her treatment, did Ranjana learn that her uterus had been removed.

Ranjana also alleged that Udit and Deepa abused her and did not allow her to enter their house in Mumbai when she visited them in 2006. She even claimed to have been insulted and thrown out by her in-laws at their residence in Nepal. Since then he has lived in his father’s house in Sapaul.

Ranjana earlier approached the Sapaul Family Court and the Women’s Commission, where Udit accepted that he is still legally married to her and promised to pay maintenance. But since she did not fulfill that commitment, Ranjana has filed a complaint at the women’s police station there. The measure was also motivated by knowing that her uterus had been removed.

“They forced me to come to the women’s police station. Because as you know, Udit makes commitments to me again and again, but he has not yet fulfilled those commitments. I have full faith in the women’s police station. I am a woman, so I must get justice,” Ranjana told Bihar Tak. “I’ve been feeling bad these days, so I need his support. But he doesn’t help me,” she added.

“I demand the respect that should be given to a wife. He also accepts me as his first wife, but he does not fulfill the commitments of a husband. What else does a wife need but respect?” Ranjana asked. His lawyer also alleged that Udit had done him a lot of harm. “During the treatment, the doctors told her that they had removed her uterus. It was then that she realized that Udit was simply cheating on her and ruining her life. That is why she has now gone to the police,” the lawyer said.
