The trailer for the upcoming movie 7 Dogs was released on Tuesday and has generated a lot of buzz on social media. What caught the attention were the cameos of Bollywood stars Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt. Directed by Bad Boys for Life filmmakers Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, the acting duo have some serious talking points in this high-octane action drama.
In the trailer video, Salman and Sanjay’s roles in 7 Dogs were not revealed, but they hinted that they were not blink-and-miss cameos. It was shown Salman Khan in a white suit, saying: “Do you know what he does? He documents his entire life.” Then Sanjay Dutt comes in with a device in his hand and people walking behind him. The clip then showed Salman sitting and asking one of the antagonists, “Why do you look like a criminal to me?” However, none of them appeared doing much action in the trailer.
As soon as the trailer of the film was released, edited clips of Sanjay and Salman’s appearances surfaced on social media. Several fans flooded the comments section, expressing their excitement at seeing Salman and Sanjay share screen space after more than 25 years. The duo was a popular on-screen couple and appeared together in films like Saajan, Dus and Chal Mere Bhai.
When videos of Salman and Sanjay surfaced on Reddit and Another person wrote: “Salman and Sanjay murdered.” “Bhai’s dialogue presentation in one scene is better than Sikandar’s entire film,” read a third comment. “Just here for Salman Khan, eagerly waiting to see him on a big screen,” expressed a fan. Earlier, during the promotions of his film Sikandar, Salman had confirmed that he would collaborate with Sanjay in an upcoming action film.
7 Dogs stars Egyptian actors Karim Abdel-Aziz and Ahmed Ezz, and is based on the fight against a potentially deadly new drug sweeping the Middle East. The story has been written by Turki Al-Sheikh, president of the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia. The film will hit theaters later this year.
