The US Department of Justice has released half of Epstein’s files. involving several high-profile figuresincluding President Donald Trump and billionaire businessman Elon Musk. Reacting to the development, talk show host Jimmy Kimmel commented on the revelations, highlighting the exact number of times Trump is mentioned in the documents.
Kimmel began his opening monologue with a frenzy, saying that even after hosting the “800 to 900” Monday shows, he had never had one with so much to discover. He was shocked to realize that it has been just “two weeks” since “Trump threatened to attack Greenland” and the president is already back in the news. He mocked the Justice Department for releasing only half of the files after taking more than a month to redact the victims’ names, a task that was accomplished without success.
He said: “The ironically titled DOJ released half of the Epstein files. They released 3 million pages, which seems like a lot until you realize there are 3 million pages they haven’t released even though they are required to do so by law. It’s important to note that the DOJ is a completely independent agency from the White House when someone other than Trump is president.”
The host also attacked billionaire Elon Musk, saying: “In June, when Musk was fighting with donald trumpmade a big announcement. He wrote (in X): ‘Time to drop the really big bomb: Donald Trump is in the Epstein files.’ That is the real reason why they have not been made public. Have a good day, DJT.’”
He continued his attack on Musk and presented the emails he had sent to Jeffrey Epstein. He said: “What he didn’t mention is that he’s there too. His name appears more than 1,000 times, including in a 2012 email he sent to Epstein. Musk is saying that his enemies are deliberately misinterpreting his correspondence. For example, when he wrote to Jeffrey Epstein, a registered sex offender by the way, to ask: ‘What day/night will be the wildest party on your island?’ I was asking so I could avoid that night; “I had a lot of work to do.”
Jimmy Kimmel also mentioned an email where an unknown person talks about Donald Trump’s first week in office and how he met his wife, Melania Trump. “That was not in the melania documentary“said Kimmel. The presenter was referring to the documentary titled Melania, which was recently released in collaboration with Amazon MGM Studios.
