Arijit Singh’s decision to retire from playback singing provoked widespread reactions. While many expressed shock and disbelief, others came forward to support the singer’s choice. Now, singer-composer Vishal Dadlani also reacted to the news. Without naming anyone directly, Vishal took to Instagram and shared a thoughtful note.

He wrote: “Learn anything? Success does not guarantee peace or contentment. Riches and power do not guarantee security. Life is strange, life is short. Don’t waste a single moment lying about yourself.” She further added, “Don’t try to be what someone else said you should be! LIVE. Totally. Best advice I can give.”

Vishal captioned the post: “All we really have is the thin strip of ‘now’ that exists between memory and hope.”

Shortly after, his followers flooded the comments section, strongly resonating with his words. One user commented: “I love it! I couldn’t agree more!” while another wrote: “Best advice: be yourself and be honest.”

I can never call this the end of an era. An artist of his caliber can never be defined by traditional means or locked into a fixed formula. It’s time to fly higher, my dear Arijit.”
