When the Pune city traffic police was preparing a plan to implement various scientific and low-cost changes in engineering, infrastructure, human resources and policies to be implemented for better traffic management, he took great interest in the plan. During the multiple presentations made to him, he asked pertinent questions and also gave valuable suggestions,” said a senior officer of the Pune city police. Pune.
The officer added, “He always asked difficult questions and was always prepared with the background of the issue at hand. He was a leader who always started early and therefore always kept the system on its toes. His control over other administrative departments used to be evident in the joint officer meetings he held in Pune.”
A senior officer of Pimpri Chinchwad police said, “The new building of Pimpri Chinchwad police station is in the works. Late Ajit Pawar always ensured that our demands for additional force, police stations and police buildings were always met, between 2021 and 2025, as many as 10 were added news police stations. Top brass and police personnel were sanctioned by the needs of a growing city, and Pawar remained a key force behind all this.”
An officer who served as Superintendent of Pune Rural Police in the past and also in Pune city said, “The meetings chaired by Mr. Pawar always meant that we had to prepare thoroughly. His strict demeanor, punctuality and topic preparation ensured that we too were fully prepared.”
